Pond pike derby
AUBURN — The Lions Club will present its Taylor Pond Pike Derby from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at 795 Garfield Road. Tickets will be sold the day of the derby from 5 to 8 a.m., with costs of $20 for adults and $5 for ages 15 and under.
First prize for the largest pike by weight will be $1,000. The awards ceremony will be held at 3:30 p.m. A Kids Derby will take place from noon to 3 p.m.

Relay kick-off
LEWISTON — The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Androscoggin County will hold a kick-off rally from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at Kaplan University, 475 Lisbon St.
The Relay for Life of Androscoggin County will be held in June at Edward Little High School.

Sled Dog race
HAMILTON, Mass. — International Sled Dog Racing Association musher Heather Brannen of Poland took second place in the adult two-dog speed class at the Myopia Sled Dog Race Skijoring race on Jan. 16. Brannen finished the 8-mile course with a total time of 24 minutes, 41 seconds.
Bridge winners
LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Jan. 24 were as follows:
First, Cynthia and Bill Clifford; second, Anna Vitiello and Sue Kaluzynski; third/fourth tie, Jan Arey and Linda Leotsakos with Alberta Turner and Luke Merry; first in B, Cynthia and Bill Clifford; second, Anna Vitiello and Sue Kaluzynski; third, Henry Lerette and Paul Mitnik; first in C, Cynthia and Bill Clifford; second in C, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe.
