Legion to meet
LISBON FALLS — Nelson-Conley Post 66, American Legion, will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at the Slovak Hall upstairs meeting room, Avery Street. All members, prospective members and active-duty personnel are invited.
Fill the tank
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Public Library will host “Fill the Tank,” a fundraising party for the ArtVan Progam, from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, in Callahan Hall. Free and open to the public, the fundraising will be done through raffles, a silent auction and voluntary donations.
Fill the Tank will feature breakdancing, drumming, poetry and stand-up comedy. The evening will be filled with creative activities such as drum making/playing and mural painting for the kids. Refreshments will be on hand.
ArtVan is a mobile art therapy program that delivers creative activites to children and teens who have little or no access to the arts.

Barn open house
NEW GLOUCESTER — The New Gloucester History Barn of the New Gloucester Historical Society will have its monthly open house from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 5. The barn is located on Route 231 behind the town hall.
The society’s collection of wagons, the town hearse and sleighs will be on display as well as historic photos of the town. The new town history and memorabilia will be for sale.
