FARMINGTON — Farmington-based photographer Alana Ranney Parker of Alana’s Fine Art Photography was awarded five ribbons at the Maine Professional Photographers Association annual print competition in Lewiston on Jan. 29.

The awards were chosen by national judges. This was her first year entering at the professional level. Two local images “Winter Hill Antiques” and the old Dryden mill “Abandoned” received awards at the competition. Parker received two blue ribbons, two red ribbons and one white ribbon for her efforts.

Parker has been in business since 2001 and recently moved to Farmington from Downeast Maine. She offers wedding, family and high school senior photography throughout the state.
