MONTPELIER, Vt. — Zachary Pratt of Lewiston has been awarded the Alumni Association Next Generation Scholarship from New England Culinary Institute. Pratt, who attended Lewiston High School, is in the associate’s degree program, studying culinary arts at NECI. He began his studies in October.

The Alumni Association Next Generation Scholarship is awarded to high potential students who have been recommended by an alumnus of NECI. “We have long recognized,” said Fran Voigt, founder and CEO of NECI, “that some of our most promising students are those who have learned about NECI from the men and women we believe are our greatest ambassadors, our alumni. We know they are able to identify talented and motivated new students, and they know exactly what it takes to succeed at NECI.”

“We’re very proud of Zachary’s achievement,” said Heather Hansen, financial planner “and we continue to seek individuals who are interested in bringing their culinary skills to the next level. Those interested in learning more about this or other scholarships available at New England Culinary Institute should contact me at (802) 225-3216 or [email protected]. There is also additional information on scholarships at www.neci.edu/admissions/scholarships.”
