WORCESTER, Mass. — The following local residents were among 1,004 students from Worcester Polytechnic Institute named to the university’s dean’s list for academic excellence for the fall 2010 semester.

Olivia Doane of Durham is a sophomore majoring in biomedical engineering.

Neil Pomerleau of Auburn is a sophomore majoring in aerospace engineering.

Cory Cormier of Auburn is a junior majoring in civil engineering.

Codie Keene of Poland is a junior majoring in civil engineering.

Matthew Paladino of Turner is a junior majoring in civil engineering.

The criteria for the WPI dean’s list differs from most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average. Instead, WPI defines the dean’s list by the amount of work completed at the “A” level in courses and projects.
