PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — Some Maine school districts are closing early on the first full day of spring because of Old Man Winter: Some places are expected to get a half-foot of snow.
The National Weather Service says parts of northern and western Maine could see up to 6 inches by midnight. Along the coast, the forecast calls for rain and snow.
Meteorologist Tom Hawley says the air is colder than originally expected, so there’ll be mostly snow along the coast. He predicts 3 to 5 inches in Portland.
