DIXFIELD — Emily Ray of Canton, a senior at Dirigo High School, has been selected to receive the 2011 Principal’s Award, Principal Michael Poulin has announced. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
“Emily is an excellent choice for this award. She has distinguished herself as an outstanding student and school citizen in her four years at Dirigo High School. She is very deserving, and I am very proud to have her represent Dirigo High School,” said Poulin.
Award winners and their principals will attend an Honors Luncheon on Saturday, April 2, at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor.
The Honors Luncheon recognizes the students with the presentation of an individual plaque and the awarding of five $1,000 scholarships.
