DURHAM — Barry Baldwin and incumbent Philip Gilikson were elected to the Board of Selectmen on Friday in a three-way contest.

Baldwin received 91 votes and Gilikson 82. Joseph Rasmussen had 77.

A single one-year term on the Board of Selectmen no candidates ran for it was won by Kirk Heald with 10 write-in votes. He defeated Mark Blake who got eight and Greg Wilson who got seven.

 There was a tie of write-ins for a three-year seat on the RSU 5 Board of Directors. Incumbent Cory Holt, James Beaulieu and John Ricker each got three votes.

Elected to three-year terms on the Budget Committee were Jeanne Sanders, 116; incumbent Milton Simon, 109; and Roy Wenger, 100. They were unopposed.

Pauline Paradis was re-elected for her 24th year as tax collector and treasurer with 157 and 155 votes, respectively.

A total of 166 voters, or 10 percent of the 3,314 registered, cast ballots Friday.

The town meeting will convene at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Durham Community School for action on the warrant.
