The temperance people and others in Lewiston and Auburn are beginning to wonder what sort of enforcement policy is to be carried out by the Democratic administration. At the present time a “wide open” policy seems to be in vogue and it is said that all kinds of stuff from beer to champagne may be obtained at any of the “first class” shops in Lewiston. According to reports, similar conditions exist in all Maine cities.

The Patronesses of St. Mary’s General Hospital have set Saturday, May 6, as the date for its annual May Ball, according to an announcement made by the president, Mrs. Victor Amnott, at the group’s meeting Thursday afternoon at the hospital. The ball will be held at the Hasty Memorial Armory in Auburn.

Plaza Tower Realty, a real estate agency handling both residential and commercial properties, has opened at Two Great Falls Plaza in Auburn.
The agency, operated by Richard B. Olfene and Jan Thompson Jacques, is on the sixth floor of the new office complex. Plaza Tower Realty is a member of both the Multiple Listing Service and the Androscoggin Valley Board of Realtors.
