If certain conditions are met, the city planning staff has recommended that the Auburn Planning Board on Tuesday approve a special exception request by Dunkin Donuts to add a drive-through window on its restaurant at 360 Center St.

The proposal includes redesigning the facility’s ingress and vehicle circulation plan, the addition of nine more parking spaces and the enlargement of the building to provide for more seating and storage area.

Since the restaurant is classified as lawfully non-conforming, due to its front-yard setback, the Zoning Board of Appeals must also approve the proposal.
