MONMOUTH — Friends Of Cumston Library will hold their quarterly meeting at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19. The public is encouraged to attend. Two agenda items are the May Faire and the art competition results. Contact 933-3536 for more information.
Hawks and owls
POLAND — Hawks and Owls of Maine is the topic to be considered at the brown bag lunch series, Check It Out! The Friends of Ricker Library program will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, in the Community Room of the library. John Weinrich, naturalist, will present colorful photographs and talk about habitat, nesting, foraging and migration of these birds. Weinrich will include in his discussion an indication of how hawks and owls benefit humans.
Everyone is invited to the program. Guests may bring their own lunches or may order lunch prepared by Square Root Natural Foods. Those who wish to order may do so by calling Ricker library at 998-4390 before noon on Tuesday, April 19. Lunches will be delivered to the library on Wednesday. Coffee, tea, and/or water will be provided by the library group.
Easter Cantata
LISBON — The Open Door Bible Baptist Church choir will present the Easter Cantata “I Know My Redeemer Lives” at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 22, and at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, at the church, 26 Gartley St.

LEWISTON — “The True Meaning of the Easter Egg Hunt” will be discussed at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, at South Lewiston Baptist Church, 1919 Lisbon Road.

Easter Bonnet Parade
TURNER — Turner Historical Museum will sponsor an Easter Bonnet Parade in association with the Turner Public Library’s Spring Celebration on Saturday, April 23. Children ages 6-12 are invited to decorate their own hat or bonnet and take part in the parade at 1 p.m. at the new gazebo on campus. Prizes will be awarded. An Easter egg hunt will follow.
