AUBURN — Darryl Brown, commissioner of the Maine Department of Environmental Protection, will be the guest speaker at the April 27 meeting of the Maine Real Estate and Development Association.

It will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, Auburn Riverwatch, 14 Great Falls Plaza. Sponsored by Summit Environmental Consultants, the meeting will begin with a buffet breakfast at 7:30 a.m., with the program to follow from 8-9 a.m.

Brown has a major voice in the ongoing, statewide conversation about reconfiguring the regulatory environment within which Maine businesses operate. He will discuss the LePage administration’s environmental policy goals and the status of the administration’s regulatory reform package.

Cost for the meeting is $25 per person for members; $30 for nonmembers. After April 22, prices increase by $10 per person.

Payment is expected at the time of registration. No refunds will be granted to anyone who registers but fails to attend or who cancels after April 22.
