AUGUSTA — Governor Paul LePage announced this morning numerous staff changes:

• Department of Environmental Protection Commisioner Darryl Brown has been moved to director State Planning Office following a conflict of interest issue.

• Jim Brooks, currently director of the Bureau of Air Quality, with the DEP will be come acting commissioner of the DEP.

• Former U.S. Representatitve David Emery, a Republican, will be deputy commissioner for the Department of Administrative and Financial Services.

• Phil Congdon has resigned as head of the Department of Economic and Community Development.  No replacement has been announced for Congdon’s position.

• Governor Paul LePage announced he intends to nominate Lieutenant General Robert Winglass (retired) to lead the Department of Labor.
