AUBURN — Katherine Hiss has been promoted to the position of childcare director at the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA.

She began working at the Y in October of 1998 as a childcare “floater” at Daisy Garden, the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA’s off-site childcare center at St. Mary’s Hospital. She worked her way to becoming the assistant childcare director.

Hill lives in Auburn with her husband and three children. She is involved with Safe Schools/Healthy Students, Downtown Education Collaboration, the Maine Y Alliance, ACCESS and NEAYC.
