PEABODY, Mass. — The wedding of Kristyn Bunce and Nicholas DeFilipp was held at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 4 in the Woodland Gardens at Brooksby Farm in Peabody, Mass. Robin Zucker officiated at the ceremony.

Ms. DeFilipp is the daughter of Carol Bunce of Amherst, N.Y., and Thomas Bunce of Grand Island, N.Y. Mr. DeFilipp is the son of Patrick and Patricia DeFilipp of Auburn.

The bride wore an ivory gown of French Chantilly lace, a bracelet with aquamarine accents that was gifted by her aunt, the matron of honor, and her great-grandmother’s engagement ring, borrowed from her great-aunt. She carried a bouquet of chartreuse and peach flowers.

The matron of honor was the bride’s aunt and godmother, Susan Flanders. Bridesmaids were Valerie Berezin, Sara Hart and Kristen Benakis, friends from Boston College, Kerry Dingle, a friend from Harvard Law School, Kristin Triantafillou Helming and Elizabeth Steinberg, childhood friends, and Anna Dugal, sister of the bridegroom.

The best man was Kevin Forbush, a childhood friend of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Eric Alsfeld, Timothy Benjamin and Matthew Gates, friends from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Thomas Bunce, brother of the bride, and Abraham Dugal, brother-in-law of the bridegroom.

The youngest attendants were Kathryn and Grace Flanders and Emily Scalia, junior bridesmaids, Nathaniel Scalia, ring bearer, and Emma Flanders, flower girl.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Smith Barn at Brooksby Farm, where guests were entertained by a music playlist designed for the occasion by the bridegroom. 

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Williamsville North High School in Williamsville, N.Y., and a 2004 graduate of Boston College with a bachelor’s degree in theater arts and English. She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2009. She is an associate at the law firm Foley Hoag in Boston.

The bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of Edward Little High School in Auburn and a 2004 graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He will receive his master’s degree from Tufts University in engineering management in the summer of 2011. He is a senior engineer at Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems in Andover, Mass.

The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Bar Harbor and currently resides in Melrose, Mass.
