With two of the three Regional School Unit 5 towns reporting late Tuesday night, the $23.8 million budget appeared headed for approval.
Durham’s tally was 214-309 against it, while Freeport was 941-385 in favor. That put the combined vote at 1,155 to 694 in favor.
Pownal’s results were was not available.
A $2.9 million athletic facility bond was losing by a combined total of 1,077 to 810 in Durham and Freeport. Durham opposed it 102-431; Freeport favored it 708-646.
A third question to authorize establishing a fuel cost stabilization fund had a combined vote of 1,115 in favor and 690 opposed. Freeport’s vote was 908-385 in favor, while Durham opposed it 207-305.
