NORWAY — Western Maine Health President and Chief Executive Officer Timothy Churchill announced recently that Les Gammon, director of plant operations at Stephens Memorial Hospital, has completed the national test to become a certified health care facility manager.

Gammon completed an extensive course and testing which culminated years of education and experience. The health care facility manager’s primary job responsibilities include the general areas of maintenance and operations, code compliance, planning, design and construction, finance management and administration, all of which are highlighted on the exam.

Gammon has been with Stephens Memorial Hospital since 2001 and has been director since 2007. He lives in Oxford with his wife.
