CARRABASSETT VALLEY — The Western Maine Center for Children announces that Doreen Chamberlin has joined its staff as director.
Chamberlin comes to WMCFC with experience in the areas of social services, family mediation, preschool programming and elementary education. She also has experience in financial services and library services. Most recently she was employed in the Stratton Elementary School as librarian and an ed tech.
Chamberlin succeeds Heather Bell, who served as director of Western Maine Center for Children from its inception in January of 2010 until resigning this month.
The Western Maine Center for Children is committed to maintaining a warm and caring environment rich in stimulating learning and social experiences. The center provides quality licensed child care for children from ages 8 weeks to 5 years old and after-school programming, serving the communities of Western Maine from Kingfield to Eustis.
