LEWISTON — The Medicine Shoppe Medical Supplies & Equipment has opened a new retail medical supplies and equipment store at 693 Sabattus St.

Hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

With 5,000 square feet of selling area, the store has a greatly expanded product offering that now includes hospital beds, mobility products and lift chairs, as well as larger selections of products such as Jobst & Sigvaris Compression hosiery, Dr. Comfort shoes for diabetics, rollators, transport chairs, lymphedema products, incontinent supplies and high-end wound care dressings and supplies.

The new location is also home to “The Pink Ribbon Care Center” staffed by Joan Caron, board certified prosthetic fitter. The center is dedicated to providing the finest mastectomy products and clothing, which includes Amoena fashionable swimwear. Caron has been a part of the company for 41 years and has been affiliated with The Bennett Breast Center and Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway.
