POLAND SPRING — The musical comedy “The Fantasticks,” directed by David Lock, will be presented every Tuesday evening this summer at the Poland Spring Resort’s Maine Inn.
Lock became a member of the Poland Spring Players in 1972 at the request of Mel Robinson, who asked him to star in “I Do, I Do.” Over the next 38 years, Lock directed summer theater at the resort with shows like “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” and recently “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change,” sometimes doing four shows a week.
Lock has directed musical reviews, including “A Grand Night for Singing.” He has also directed and performed with Lewiston-Auburn Community Little Theatre, most recently directing “Kiss Me Kate;” and with Long Lakes Region Theatre and Lewiston, St. Dominic’s and Leavitt high schools.
His acting repertoire includes Billy Bigelow in “Carousel,” Jimmy in “No, No, Nanette” and Paul in “Carnival.”
Curtain is 8 p.m., with the show running every Tuesday through late August. For tickets, $10, call 998-4351.
