LEWISTON — A local man was held on $10,000 cash bail at the Androscoggin County Jail on Saturday after an early-morning chase.
Police charged Jason Mark Adams, 30, of 6 Larry Drive, with eight crimes, including driving to endanger, felony drunken driving and eluding a police officer.
The chase began at about 3:30 a.m. Lewiston police arrested Adams just before 6 a.m, according to police records.
Police arrested Adams on Birch Street, but he drove away in a minivan, according to Channel 8 News. Police chased him to Sabattus, where he dumped the van and fled on foot onto a snowmobile path near Beaver Road.
Lewiston police later arrested Adams at a mobile home on Bowdoinham Road in Sabattus, the TV station reported.
Other charges against Adams include violating the conditions of his release, using physical force to refuse to submit to arrest or detention, reckless conduct and failing to give motor vehicle information.
