LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce is offering a Brown Bag Lunch program, “How the DOL sees it: Common wage issues and how to avoid them,” on July 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Chamber offices, 415 Lisbon St., Lewiston.

This seminar, on federal wage and hour issues for all sizes of businesses, will feature Matthew Collins, an investigator in Maine for the federal Department of Labor, and Rebecca Webber, an employment attorney at the Auburn law firm of Linnell, Choate & Webber. Collins’ job it is to follow up on complaints and to check on compliance with wage and hour laws by Maine businesses.

Those interested in attending may ask that particular issues be addressed. To do so, email those in advance to Rebecca Webber at [email protected]. Attendees are encouraged to register online by going to: http://www2.androscoggincounty.com or call 783-2249 to reserve a spot.
