SACO — The wedding of Megan Day and Thomas Shaw was held at 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 at the First Parish Congregational Church in Saco. The Rev. Bob Carlson officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Shaw is the daughter of Linda and Walter Law of Auburn. Mr. Shaw is the son of Richard and Yvonne Shaw of Dayton.

Meghann Chase, friend of the bride, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Jessica Crabtree, friend of the bride, Melissa Porter, friend of the couple, and Cassie Shaw, sister of the bridegroom.

Serving as best man was Scott Davies, friend of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Sean Carlin, friend of the bridegroom, Jon Dunn, friend of the couple, and Keith Allen, friend of the bridegroom.

The wedding reception was based on the classic Hollywood 1940s-1950s era and was held at the Wyndham Hotel in South Portland. The couple traveled to Mayan Riviera in Mexico for their honeymoon and they plan to relocate to Boston this fall.

The bride is a 2008 graduate of Husson College with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. She is currently attending graduate school for new media journalism at Full Sail University and is employed as an admissions representative.

The bridegroom graduated with honors from New England School of Communications in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in communications, concentrating in TV/film production. He has since worked in television production and is attending graduate school for game design masters at Full Sail University.
