NORMAN, Okla. — Corey Potvin, originally of Lewiston, graduated from the University of Oklahoma in August 2010 with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in meteorology. He has since been awarded a National Research Council Postdoctoral Research Associateship at the NOAA National Severe Storms Laboratory in Norman, Okla., where he resides with his wife, Jacquelyn.

Potvin graduated fourth in the Lewiston High School class of 2000 and received  bachelor’s degrees in meteorology and mathematics and an associate’s degree in computer science from Lyndon State College in 2004. He is the son of Gisele Potvin and the late Keith Williams, and the grandson of Normand and Florence Potvin, Kenneth Williams and Germaine Thompson.
