Lewiston Police shut down a section of Lisbon Street Sunday evening after several reports of pellet-gun shootings. Two people were shot with a pellet gun at about 7:38 p.m. One of the victims, Norm Rousseau, owns Compass Coin and Jewelry at the corner of Pine and Lisbon streets across from the Lewiston Public Library. Rousseau said he was leaving his business when he heard three shots at first, and then heard a couple more and was hit in the lower leg near his ankle. Sgt. Randy St. Laurent said that a second victim was shot in the knee. St. Laurent said that a car windshield was initially shot while the vehicle was parked on Pine Street just before 5 p.m. The reports prompted police to shut down a block of Lisbon Street between Chestnut and Pine streets while they searched for suspects. No arrests were made as of Sunday night.
