NORWAY — Norway Savings Bank announces that three of its employees recently accepted new positions at the bank.
Amy Marshall recently accepted the position of assistant vice president, employee development specialist. Marshall has been with Norway Savings Bank for more than 12 years. She came to the bank in 1999 as an in-store customer relations representative and worked her way up through the branch system to the position of branch manager of the Oxford branch.
Her career at Norway also included serving as the business development officer in the South Paris office and, most recently, as the assistant vice president and Bethel branch manager. Marshall will work from the bank’s operations center in Norway. She has been an active member in her community and has worked very closely with the Bethel Chamber of Commerce and Bethel Rotary Club.
Gail McBride has accepted the position of vice president, CRA officer and project management coordinator. In her new role, McBride will be responsible for all Community Reinvestment Act activities for the bank. She will also be responsible for implementing project management tools to help ensure consistency in their use and will support the project management committee in their oversight role for all major bank projects.
McBride works in the bank’s main office in Norway. She earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Maine at Orono and attended the Williams College School of Banking. She is an alumna of the Maine Development Foundation’s Leadership Maine Program (Iota Class.)
McBride is an active member of her community where she has served as a board member for the Four Directions Development Corporation, the Abused Women’s Advocacy Project and L/A Arts. She has also volunteered for the United Way, McLaughlin Garden and the Norway Triathlon.
Louis Paquet has been promoted to assistant vice president, retail collections manager. Paquet joined Norway Savings as a collections specialist in April 2010, bringing more than 23 years of experience in retail collections and consumer lending to the bank.
As collections manager, he will be responsible for managing and directing the collection activity for all retail loan accounts, including home mortgages, home equity loans, consumer loans and overdraft lines of protection. Paquet earned his bachelor of arts in business from the University of Maine at Orono and works in the bank’s main office in Norway.
