AUBURN — Dr. David Brown of Central Maine Orthopaedics recently celebrated his 20th anniversary with the practice.
Since joining CMO in 1991, Dr. Brown has seen the practice move its operations to Minot Avenue in Auburn, open an ambulatory surgical center at their main location, and a partnership emerge with Central Maine Medical Center to create the Orthopaedic Institute of Central Maine.
Dr. Brown is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in major orthopaedic trauma cases. Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, he serves as the head of the Orthopaedic Trauma Service for the Central Maine Medical Center, Level 2 Trauma Program, and on the Maine EMS Trauma Advisory Committee.
He graduated from Princeton University, Princeton, N.J., and Albany Medical College, Albany, N.Y. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery from the Stony Brook Residency Program, Stony Brook, N.Y., and a sports medicine fellowship at the Lahey Clinic, Burlington, Mass.
