OXFORD — Police and medical personnel have responded to a report of a single-car accident on Main Street in Oxford.

The car reportedly hit a tree or telephone pole and caught fire.

A portion of the road has been closed and first responders requested two LifeFlight helicopters respond to the scene.

One patient has been transported by LifeFlight to Maine Medical Center.
