NEW YORK — Brian Mahon, originally from Auburn and a graduate of both Edward Little High School and Boston University, received a Master of Arts degree from New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and human Development on May 18.

Mahon, son of Guy and Joan E. Mahon of Auburn, completed a dual certification program in childhood and special education, grades 1 to 6. He is currently completing requirements for New York State and plans on teaching special education in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he resides.
