The people of this section of the State will today have their first chance to witness a series of the greatest pictures ever taken by a moving picture camera. “The Coronation of King George V” is the picture referred to. The management of Music Hall is offering an opportunity that would not otherwise come to this city if it was not for the fact that the proprietors of this theatre are the largest users of moving pictures in this country, for that matter, the largest in the world.
50 years ago, 1961
Several articles of feminine underclothing were taken late Friday night or early Saturday morning by a sneak thief who entered the bedroom of a Linwood Avenue home while two girls were asleep in the room.
Police said the thief entered the bedroom by removing a half screen in the window.
Taken were two brassieres, two girdles and a pair of panties. Police said the panties were found in the street.

HARRISON — Music from morning to sunset echoed over the hills along the Edes Falls Road in a benefit that raised $920 for the Bolsters Mills Save the Dam project on Crooked River
The Save the Dam Jam included country, jazz, rock ‘n roll and gospel tunes from bands and singers who volunteered their talent for the day.
