OXFORD — A 45-year-old woman was found dead in her hot tub Tuesday.

Beverly Washer Smedberg was found at about 2:15 a.m., according to Oxford Police Chief Jon Tibbetts. He would not reveal who found her, or when she was last seen alive.

“That’s still under investigation,” Tibbetts said.

He also would not reveal her address.

An autopsy is planned, but Tibbetts said Smedberg’s death is not considered suspicious. A spokeswoman for the Maine Chief Medical Examiner’s office said the autopsy is set for Wednesday morning.
