POLAND SPRING — The wedding of Sarah L. Smith and Timothy J. Pelletier was held on July 9 at All Souls Chapel in Poland Spring. The Rev. Donald Mayberry officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Pelletier is the daughter of Stephen and Sandra Smith of Lisbon Falls. Mr. Pelletier is the son of Daniel and Joan Pelletier of Lewiston.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a satin halter gown in A-line style with split front and she carried a bouquet of silk ivory roses.
Jennifer F. Allen, friend of the bride and cousin of the bridegroom, attended as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Katherine Cote, sister of the bridegroom, Katherine Mitchell, friend of the couple, and Erika Laflamme and Kristina Chick, friends of the bride. Zole Cote, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl.
Performing the duties of best man was Josh Mitchell, friend the couple. Ushers were Tyler Cote, nephew of the bridegroom, and Ryan Dennis, James Ireland and Jason Douglass, friends of the bridegroom. Garrett Poulin, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
A reception followed at Fireside Inn in Auburn, after which the couple traveled to Boothbay Harbor and Washington, D.C. They are residing in Maine.
The bride received a bachelor’s degree in social and behavioral sciences from the University of Southern Maine. She is working on obtaining certification to be a case manager. She completed her internship at the Department of Health and Human Services in developmental services.
The bridegroom is currently working on an associate degree from Central Maine Community College in building construction. He is a material handler at L.L. Bean at the warehouse in Freeport.
