LISBON — Donald and Laural Grant of Lisbon are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Katie Marie Grant of Lisbon, to Andrew Marc James of Lewiston, son of Richard and Theresa James of Lewiston.

Miss Grant is a recent graduate of Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre in Waverly, W. Va., with a riding masters III degree, with emphasis in western riding and farrier craftsmanship. She also received a certificate in equine sports massage therapy.

Mr. James is a 2009 graduate of Central Maine Community College with an associate degree in automotives and in 2010 received a certificate in culinary arts. He is currently the head cook at Center Street Cafe in Auburn.

The wedding will be held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 23 at Lost Valley Ski Lodge.
