SOUTH PARIS — Sophomore midfielder Yusuf Yama and senior striker Benji Saban scored two goals apiece in the first half to lead Lewiston to a 6-1 victory over Oxford Hills in KVAC boys’ soccer action Monday.

Senior midfielder Brian Lynch spoiled the Blue Devils’ (2-1-1) shutout by scoring the final goal of the game.

Lewiston’s speed on offense overwhelmed Oxford Hills (0-4).

Goalie Aaron Crockett made 15 saves for Oxford Hills, while Eric Soucy repelled eight shots to earn the win in net for Lewiston.

Oak Hill 3, Medomak Valley 2

WALES — Senior midfielder Jamiel Kidd scored a pair of goals in the second half to propel Oak Hill to a 3-2 victory over Medomak Valley in boys’ soccer action Monday.

Medomak Valley struck first when Chris Morrill scored on an assist from Deering Genther. The Raiders tied the score when Trevor Sampson converted an unassisted goal. Genther put the Panthers (0-2-1) up again with and early second-half goal. Morrill assisted on the score.

Kidd tied the game, then gave the Raiders (1-2) the lead with his pair of goals. The game-winner came with about 13 minutes left on an assist from Sampson.

Sam Morin turned away six shots for the victory, while Robbie Griffen saved 10 for Medomak Valley.

Gray-NG 7, Lake Region 0

GRAY — Craig Moreau scored a hat trick to lead Gray-New Gloucester to a 7-0 victory over Lake Region in boys’ soccer action.

The Patriotic-Knights (2-1) took a 3-0 halftime lead. Josh Kane contributed a goal and an assist for Gray-New Gloucester in the winning effort.

Goalie Dakota Bush made 12 saves for the Lakers (0-3), while goalies Nick Rogers and Spencer Harriman combined for two saves for Gray-New Gloucester.

Fryeburg 2, Poland 0

FRYEBURG — Stefan Sjekloca piloted the eventual game-winning goal in the first half as Fryeburg fetched a 2-0 victory over Poland in boys’ soccer action Monday.

Tyler Saunders recorded the second half goal for the Raiders (2-1).

Goalie Dillon Douglas made 10 saves for the Knights (0-4), while goalie Michael LeGoff prevented a pair to earn the win in net for Fryeburg.
