AUBURN — The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College is offering the Small Business Institute, a series of workshops designed to help small business owners improve performance and profitability.

The first workshop is titled “Is Entrepreneurship Right For You?” It will be held Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost is $79, including materials. Participants will discover if entrepreneurship is right for them by examining the optimism, flexibility, frugality, motivation and the self-confidence that a small business owner needs to succeed.

The workshop will be taught by Kurk Lalemand, LPBC. Lalemand, a licensed business coach with more than 30 years of business experience, is president and owner of NEXT Level Business Coaching in Auburn.
