GREENE — Carol Buzzell, a clerk from the town office in Greene, has achieved her position as a certified clerk of Maine.
The Maine Town and City Clerk’s Association sponsors a program to allow Maine municipal clerks to become certified. That status is gained through a combination of education and professional experience. The official recognition took place Sept. 14 at the annual business meeting for the Maine Town and City Clerks Association in Waterville.
Buzzell has been employed as assistant town clerk for the town of Greene for 13 years, where she has been a lifelong resident and lives with her husband.
She is currently working towards her lifetime certification.
