AUBURN — Liberty Rebekah Lodge #94 met Sept. 19 and elected the following officers: Mercena Abrams, noble grand; Esther Tucker, vice grand; Catherine Hunnewell, secretary; Arlene Simons, treasurer; Lucille Nelson, first trustee; Margaret Sjostrom, second trustee; and Donald Nason, third trustee.

They will be installed along with the appointed officers on Monday, Oct. 17, by Sally Wentworth, district deputy president, and her marshal, Martha Shorette, both of Nina Rebekah Lodge #86 of Lisbon. The installation ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. in the recreation room at the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs Home of Maine, 85 Caron Lane, Auburn preceded by a pot luck supper at 6 p.m. The installation ceremony will be open to the public.

During the business meeting, Pam Black, noble grand, commemorated the 160th anniversary of the Rebekah Degree by reading a short history about it. Plans for the Rebekah Assembly meeting that will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn on Oct. 20 and 21 and the past district deputy presidents’ meeting on Oct. 22 were presented.
