LEWISTON — The sixth annual Flashback Sock Hop was held at Taber’s in Auburn on Aug. 6 to benefit the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society. More than $300 was raised to help with the care of the thousands of unwanted animals the Humane Society helps each year.

The society provides a haven for more than 5,500 sick, homeless and abused animals in the area each year. The primary support comes from fundraising events and donations of concerned residents.
