Lewiston School Committee gets look at McMahon expansion

School committee members were given a first-hand look at the school expansion during a tour lead by Principal Tom Hood and Assistant Principal Cindy Gish. The $2.75 million expansion created three new kindergarten classrooms, two new pre-K classrooms, an art classroom, a music classroom and an expanded library with computers and a reading nook. The school department now hopes to build a new gymnasium and a classroom wing, which would cost $5.6 million, in the next two years, to address a growing number of students in Lewiston.
