1. Cheverus (7-0)
Did a two-touchdown win over two-win Portland dull the Stags’ sheen of invincibility or was it just a case of a great team being bored and counting down the days to the playoffs?
2. Lawrence (7-0)
One could ask the same question of the Bulldogs’ 10-point victory over one-win Cony.
3. Brunswick (6-1)
One man’s opinion: Dragons will be switching places with Lawrence in the Top 10 next week.
4. Leavitt (7-0)
Hornets shut down the run two weeks ago at Mt. Blue, but reigning in Alonzo Connor is another matter.
5. Mt. Blue (6-1)
Cougars should keep playing angry.
6. Bangor (6-1)
Rams have their spot sewn up, but with Messalonskee and Skowhegan on the schedule, they will still have a lot of say on who goes to the playoffs with them.
7. Wells (7-0)
Ah, the Crabtrees. Warriors could finish undefeated and still not have home field in the playoffs.
8. Thornton (6-1)
No one can play the “Yeah, but they have an easy schedule” card on the Trojans this year.
9. South Portland (5-2)
Comrade Oakes called that trap game at Windham, didn’t he?
10. Yarmouth (7-0)
Rain, fog and no Overhaug! Clippers still can’t be beat.
Player of the Week
Izaiha Tracy, Mt. Blue
Tracy scored four touchdowns — a one-yard run, a 50-yard punt return, an 84-yard kick return and a 21-yard catch — to lead the Cougars to a 64-33 win over Morse.
