AUBURN — The Maine Real Estate and Development Association is hosting an informational breakfast event focusing on deep energy retrofits on Nov. 9, from 7:30-9 a.m. at the Martindale Country Club, 527 Beech Hill Road.

The buffet breakfast will be served from 7:30-8 p.m., with the program to follow from 8-9 a.m. The event is sponsored by the People’s United Bank.

Architect David Webster, of PDT Architects, and engineer Ian MacDonald, of Allied Engineering, will provide a look at the world of energy retrofits. They will explore the reasons for a systematic approach in looking at a building’s energy usage and the sort of strategies that an owner or developer can adopt when “tuning up” a building.

Tickets are $25 per person for members, $35 per person for nonmembers. The cost increases by $10 after Nov. 4.
