In her new book, Lewiston author Meredith Kendall shares the secrets of Reiki and nursing. “Reiki Stories: My Hot Hands” reads like a series of blog entries: quirky and concise.

Kendall’s writing has a distinct note of seen-it-all, heard-it-all wisdom, but it’s tempered by humility and charm. Her stories inform and entertain. They are heartwarming, heartbreaking and hopeful.

Kendall is a registered nurse and Reiki master/teacher. She earned nursing degrees from the University of Southern Maine and St. Joseph’s College of Maine, and her Reiki attunement from Kaimora of Oquossoc.
