It’s no trick.
The National Weather Service out of Gray has issued a winter storm watch for half the state tomorrow, the Saturday before Halloween.
Meteorologist Tom Hawley said southern Maine and the coast could see six or more inches of snow starting in the evening and ending by 8 a.m. Sunday.
The previous record for snow in October was 3.8 inches in 1969.
Next week is forecast to see a return to temperatures in the 50s.
“It should be OK for Halloween,” Hawley said.
