FARMINGTON — Franklin Memorial Hospital President/CEO Rebecca Ryder announces the addition of Lesley West, MD, as a provider of cardiology specialty services.

Dr. West, who is affiliated with Cardiovascular Consultants of Maine, is providing cardiology-consulting services every Wednesday.

She received her medical degree with cum laude honors at Georgetown University School of Medicine and later completed her residency in internal medicine and a three-year cardiology fellowship at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. She is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.

Dr. West is a member of the American College of Cardiology. Her professional interests are in echocardiography, cardiac catheterization, and she installs pacemakers. In 2002, she joined Cardiovascular Consultants of Maine, working primarily in Augusta and Waterville locations.

Cardiology consulting services are provided four days per week at Franklin Memorial Hospital. In addition to Dr. West, Dr. Robert Bender provides services every Tuesday, while Dr. Paul Sweeney provides services every Monday and Friday. Dr. Heinrich Grube fills in for Drs. Sweeney and West as needed.

Dr. West recently moved to Wilton with her husband. They are the parents of an adult son who attends Colby College.
