WEST PARIS — A fund has been set up to help the family of Josh and Kristie Basso of West Paris who lost their home in a fire Sunday.

The family of six, including the couple’s four sons, ages 18 months to 15 years, lost everything when fire ripped through their home on McKeen Road while Josh and the boys were outside playing. Kristie, a nurse at the Maine Veterans’ Home in Paris, was at work at the time of the fire.

The fire was believed to have started by a cook stove, according to fire Chief Norman St. Pierre.

Donations are being accepted at any TD Bank to help the family.
