LEWISTON — Mend-A-Body Solutions President Debra Ann St. Hilaire announces the hiring of professional development trainer Marylin Newell.
She will be responsible to design and deliver workplace wellness seminars for area businesses and for the company’s wellness coach training program. It’s part of the company’s continuing commitment to health and nutrition education for clients, coaches and Maine-based businesses and their employees.
Newell is the founder of Maine Seminars, a Hebron-based professional development training company that specializes in customized training for improving workplace productivity.
A former academic dean and college president, Newell has more than 23 years of experience as an adult educator and says she is excited about the opportunity to bring her experience developing training to Mend-A-Body’s health and wellness programs.
She holds a doctoral degree in management and organization from Capella University and a master’s degree in adult education from the University of Southern Maine.
Mend-A-Body Solutions recently expanded its programming to provide Maine-based businesses with an affordable solution to workplace wellness by providing nutrition education to groups of employees at work. Newell will also provide updated materials for training and mentoring Mend-A-Body’s wellness coaches who work with individual clients to reach their personal wellness goals through a total health solutions program targeting weight loss and waistline management.
