MONMOUTH — Monmouth Middle School teacher, Megan Anderson, was awarded a grant from Bounty paper towels and TeacherWishList.com.

A recent Bounty survey found that 71 percent of teachers confirmed they spend an average of $462 out of their own pockets for school supplies which adds up to millions spent each year. In order to help alleviate teachers’ out-of-pocket spending, School Family Media, with support from Bounty, developed TeacherWishList.com. The new site allows teachers to register their wish lists of essential classroom supplies, which then allows parents to help make a difference by fulfilling unmet needs.

Megan is one of 100 fortunate teachers who won a $462 grant and is now able to better afford classroom necessities instead of spending a substantial amount of money out of pocket on school supplies.
