Key losses: Roger Bachelder, Tim Whitmore, Robby Neal, Jeremy Ashlock.

Promising newcomers: Juniors — Billy Cummings (5-10 forward), Cody Gallagher (5-10 guard), Chris Armstrong (5-9 guard); Sophomore — D.J. McHugh (5-8 guard).

Outlook: Monmouth hadn’t been to the regional tournament since the 1970s. Now the Mustangs have made back-to-back appearances, including a first-ever journey to the Augusta Civic Center in February 2011. The graduating seniors took 89 percent of the team’s scoring with them. The Mustangs will continue to play a hard-nosed, halfcourt game and expect to show progress throughout the season. Peacock, McFarren and Goff could emerge as go-to players.
