Coach:  Craig Jipson (seventh year)

Last year’s record:  16-4, lost in Eastern A semifinal

Returning letter winners: Seniors — Kelly Philbrook (5-7 guard), Marykate Masters (5-7 guard), Emily Hartnett (5-7 guard); Junior — Ashlee Arnold (5-8 guard), Kate Sawyer (5-7 guard), Taylor French (5-9 guard); Sophomore — Kory Norcross (5-7 guard), Kennedy Hubbard (5-8 forward).

Key losses:  Frankie Lally (5-6 guard), Miranda Martin (forward), Dawna Daigle (forward).

Promising newcomers: Senior — Crissy Lewis (5-11 forward);  Sophomore — Danny Rock (5-6 guard); Freshmen — Brooke Reynolds (5-8 forward), Tianna Harriman (5-6 guard).

Outlook: EL graduated three regulars from last year’s KVAC championship team but still have the bulk of the club returning, including Arnold, an all-conference player and starters Sawyer and Norcross.  Lewis is also back. She was a starter as a sophomore but was all-conference at Oxford Hills last year. With some veteran talent and promising new players, EL should contend again in the KVAC and Eastern A.

Coach’s comment: “Last year’s senior class played in three KVAC championship games in a row and the semifinals twice. If we can develop great team chemistry and consistent leadership, we could be okay. We look to get better every week and play our best basketball at the end of the season.” Coach Craig Jipson.
