Amanda Simonds was recently promoted from personal services specialist for Spectrum Generations Bridges Help at Home Division to adult daybreak activities aide.
Simonds was hired by Bridges August and has been dedicated to the needs of her home care clients. Her bachelor of arts degree in social work and previous experience as an education technician, customer service representative, behavioral specialist and certified nursing assistant, make her a valuable asset to Spectrum Generations Adult DayBreak Program.
She will spread her time between Spectrum Generations Cohen Center in Hallowell and Muskie Center in Waterville. Located in Spectrum Generations community centers, Adult DayBreak provides a variety of health, social and support services for older adults and people with disabilities in a safe home-like setting during the day. This type of environment is designed to enhance the self-esteem, well-being and dignity of each participant.
